Lowenthal slyly kept fans guessing for a while, despite players tagging him and asking about his possible role. But the wait is over, and we can finally rejoice as Lowenthal has now broken his silence, revealing that indeed, he lends his voice to one of the characters in the game.

Lowenthal shared that the iconic sci-fi film, Starship Troopers, deeply influenced his performance in Helldivers 2. This classic movie, set in the 23rd century, portrays an epic intergalactic conflict with alien forces. It’s no surprise that the game draws inspiration from such an influential source. Players eager to hear Lowenthal’s take on a Helldiver can equip “Voice Pack 2” from the Armory.

People ask [me], ‘You don’t have to audition anymore, do you?’ And I’m like, ‘I audition every day, multiple times a day!’—because there are plenty of other people who could do my job who have just gotten in and have that ‘I just got started’ energy. In the last two decades, we’ve heard his voice as he is in the industry with more than 400 voiceover credits to his name.
