Ever since Remedy dropped Alan Wake 2, a plethora of fans have been eagerly waiting for news of a DLC. The game was a smashing hit, with a score of 89 among critics and 8.6 among users on Metacritic.
Praised for having incredible atmosphere, acting, and storytelling, fans who can’t get enough of the game have been begging for more. And it looks like they might finally get their wish.
Remedy Potentially Teases DLC for Alan Wake’s Beloved Sequel
Getting a game right is no easy feat. There are a ton of different aspects to game development, and for the first Alan Wake to get as popular as it did was a testament to how well Remedy did.
Now, doing that twice? That’s even more difficult. When a game you love gets a sequel, there are a ton of expectations. You already have an idea of what you want, and no matter how perfect a game is, you’d want the second one to be even better. And, somehow, that’s exactly what the studio did with Alan Wake 2.
In our review, we said that the game isn’t just a lake, but the whole ocean. Knowing that, it’s easy to understand why so many people have been desperately waiting for news on a DLC. Thankfully, the wait might not be much longer.

A few hours ago, the official account for Remedy posted a mysterious image with text and logo for a company called ‘Poison Pill Entertainment,’ with the text ‘Since 1995 Night Springs City‘ written under it. Even the studio’s X/Twitter account was changed to display the logo.
Night Springs is the first DLC for the game that was announced a while back, and it’s been teased for a while with no release date in sight.

To add to that, one eagle-eyed X/Twitter user pointed out that the opposite of ‘Remedy’ is ‘Poison Pill.’ There’s little doubt that this hint is probably connected to the upcoming DLC, which might be released sooner rather than later.
What We Know about the DLCs So Far
Sadly, the studio is still keeping the release date for the DLC close to its chest. There is still other information about the expansions that’s good to know, however.
The studio has confirmed two paid DLCs, the first being the Night Springs DLC.
Sam Lake, the writer of the Alan Wake games, posted a picture last month celebrating the last motion capture session for the DLCs.
Other games from the studio, such as the first Alan Wake, Control, and Quantum Break. also had a few interesting easter eggs pointing toward the show Night Springs.
