The Flash is currently failing at the box office despite mega hype and positive predictions, apart from the fairly moderate rating nothing has been going well for the movie. It saw a massive drop in its box office collections, fans are flaming the franchise for its repeated bad performance and its inability to produce something great. Although Ezra Miller has given a fairly good on-screen performance, it is not enough to cover up for the rest of the mess.

Unexpected Support From Gaming Legend Hideo Kojima

Hideo Kojima is a very successful video game designer, he is more like a Japanese legend to the people of his country, especially kids of the younger generation and gamers who follow the industry properly. Apart from being a designer, he is relatively well-versed in directing, producing, and writing. Although he belongs to the gaming industry, his love and passion for cinema have been his sole companion from his very childhood, as he once said that “70% of my body is made of movies”. Kojima has worked with big billion-dollar companies such as Konami, which is known for its gaming productions.

“I finally watched “The Flash.” I am a big fan of Grant Gustin’s version of the drama. I was hoping to see more of the STAR Labs crew, but I also enjoyed this film, which is also in the Justice League vein. Speaking of The Flash, the multiverse, like continuity in video games, destroys old-school storytelling.

However, that is what they have done well with the plot. It’s not a stand-alone film or a prequel, but a brilliant multiverse device for new fans from Justice League and old DC fans from the past. A triumph of planning and casting.”

Hideo Kojima has shown support to the movie and the entire DCU for creating such a marvelous film. Although he was looking forward to a bit more of the S.T.A.R Labs crew, which he was fascinated with from Grant Gustin’s CW Flash, it was a banger nevertheless. He went on to add that the script for the movie was very meticulously made and kudos to the team who have worked day and night for bringing it to realization.

A New Release, A New Failure For DC Studios With The Flash

The entirety of the DC franchise has been struggling for the past half-decade, not a good movie, TV show, or any project has been released from their side. Many promises were made, but none were fulfilled, it only makes one think if they are up to the job, if they have what it takes to get the job done. The franchise has suffered major setbacks and backlashes from both the fans and the box office, as neither of them is siding with them, not after the consecutive failures they released. Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash are complete disasters, with poor box office revenue and critic reviews.

The Flash has earned a little over $245 million at the box office from its worldwide release with an estimated budget of around $200 million. The budget for the movie has way past its original one with all the delays caused due to the pandemic that terrorized the whole world for years. It was supposed to be released way earlier, at least years, but was put on hold because of the lockdown and health hazards. Although the movie has a pretty decent IMDb rating of 7.2/10, many have outright opposed the movie having such high numbers. Well, we will have to wait and watch what the franchise and James Gunn have in store for us, the fans, and the viewers.
