American Psycho starring Christian Bale released back in 2000. The character of Patrick Bateman was done to perfection by the then-kind-of-unknown Bale, and things haven’t been the same since. It’s not easy to pull off a character that has the looks, charm, is a good actor, and a little bit of a freak.
And maybe that was the reason the studio back then wasn’t too keen on casting Bale in the lead role. But to their pleasant surprise, the actor gave a performance worthy of being written in the pages of cinematic history.

And now rumor has it that Lionsgate is looking to do a modern-day remake of the classic. After Bale’s rendition of Patrick Bateman, it will be a little difficult to cast another actor to play such an iconic role. But the internet has never been one to shy away from a good challenge, and they have come up with some pretty decent options. Names like Robert Pattinson and Bill Skarsgård have been thrown out, who can do a pretty good job if given the chance. But there is one other actor who we feel might nail the character if he gets his hands on it – a fellow Brit named Daniel Radcliffe.

Daniel Radcliffe Could Be Pretty Spot On as The New American Psycho

Daniel Radcliffe became a name synonymous with the role of Harry Potter since he was a young boy of 11 years old. But soon after the series concluded, Radcliffe decided on some pretty radical choices when it came to his career. He chose to do roles that were as far away from big budget movies or franchises as they could be.

His choices of characters were also not of the norm – take Guns Akimbo or Swiss Army Man, for example. The actor has the looks, the talent, and that little bit of weird freakyness needed to nail a role like that of Patrick Bateman. And although it really is tough to envision anyone other than Christian Bale in that psychopathic role, Daniel Radcliffe, in our humble opinion, might be able to give it a really good spin of his own.

The true story of three trailblazing climbers – Warren “Batso” Harding, Dean Caldwell, and Beryl Knauth, will be bought to life by actors Ethan Hawke, Daniel Radcliffe, and Jessica Biel, in the upcoming movie Batso. The trio took on the adventure back in the early 1970s to climb the iconic peak of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park. Considered one of the most difficult climbing routes, the trio managed to perform an outstanding feat by reaching the El Capitan peak. Now, these three actors have joined forces to bring this story to the larger audience.

As reported by Deadline, written by Eamon O’Sullivan, Batso has set its eyes on Kyle Marvin for the directorial position. The biographical drama will be executive produced by Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall for north.five.six, under 3311 Productions, Watch This Ready, and Under the Influence.
