It would seem that in the Best Animated Series category, there are several very strong contenders. Starting with Scavengers Reign, Bob’s Burgers, and The Simpsons, it is not surprising that either of these shows were nominated.
However, the last two names on the list are going to make deciding the winner quite difficult. Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai has been nominated alongside Marvel’s X-Men ’97. Both shows have stirred quite a lot of conversation all across the internet since their release.
They are also immensely critically acclaimed, being regarded as masterpieces in every way. One cannot help but wonder who is going with them when the competition is so good.
Audiences Favor Blue Eye Samurai
While the winners of the Best Animated Series Emmy Award will be decided by the members of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, fans cannot help but ponder the questions themselves. While many would expect all support to be with X-Men ’97 considering its hype and the fan-following of Marvel, the answer is quite different.
A majority of the audience seemed to be focusing their attention on Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai. Fans pointed out that it is a masterpiece through and through, not only showcasing a beautiful story but also executing it in a breathtaking style. Even though those who have seen both shows favor the Netflix series. While for some, the answers are clear, others find it difficult to pick between the options.
