Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie starred in the 2005 film titled Mr. & Mrs. Smith which is one of the few films where the stars shared the screen together. However, the filming of the movie wasn’t all hunky-dory since trivia about the film hints at possible fights.
Based on the call from George Clooney who was making Ocean’s Twelve at that time, Brad Pitt left the shooting of his film with Angelina Jolie and made his way to Clooney’s set. This added a delay to the 2005 film and might have caused problems for the former couple!
Brad Pitt Left Mr. & Mrs. Smith For 3 Months For George Clooney
Portraying the role of Rusty Ryan in Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven, Brad Pitt starred alongside George Clooney, Matt Damon, and several others and found worldwide fame. Naturally, the film was greenlit for a sequel but the crew was incomplete without Pitt.
Unfortunately for Angelina Jolie, her husband at the time got called into shooting while he was filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Since Pitt had a chance to work on the beloved franchise again, the film trivia on IMDB tells us that the Fight Club actor left the shooting of Mr. & Mrs. Smith to join Ocean’s Twelve.
The actor left Angelina Jolie and joined George Clooney to reprise his role of Rusty Ryan in Ocean’s Twelve which caused a delay of three months to his own film. However, it seems that the delay was worth it for Brad Pitt since the actor found fame for starring in both movies.
When Brad Pitt Turned Down The Chance To Work With Morgan Freeman
From refusing to star in David Fincher’s nihilistic movie to working alongside some notable directors throughout his career, Pitt has portrayed a wide range of characters. In an interview with USA Today, the actor revealed that he turned down the chance to work with Morgan Freeman in The Shawshank Redemption.
“It would have been kind of cool to be in, but I’m not a regret guy in that way. I just believe in the way things work out, and that was someone else’s role. Even the feeling of, ‘Ooh, that would’ve been nice’ would redirect a choice later down the road. So it all works in tandem in that way.”
The actor was last seen donning the role of Jack Conrad in Damien Chazelle’s 2022 film Babylon. Pitt is currently attached to three projects, one of them being Quentin Tarantino’s final film The Movie Critic.
