The sequel to the movie Dune from 2021 will hit theaters in less than two weeks. Dune 2 is about Paul Atreides teaming up with Chani and the Fremen to get back at those who wrecked his family.
He’s torn between his love for Chani and saving the universe. Paul has to stop a bad future which only he can foresee coming. The first Dune movie was praised for its stunning visuals and the way it crafted some truly visionary moments.
And now, Dune 2 is also getting a lot of love even before it’s out. Even bigwigs like MrBeast are also all in to praise the movie at its best.
Dune: Part Two Earns Phenomenal Praise From MrBeast
Part One of Dune Saga is more subdued, while Part Two is full of action, like a big war movie. Denis Villeneuve stated at CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas (via The Hollywood Reporter):
“It is much more dense. We went to all new locations… I didn’t want a feeling of repetition. It’s all new sets. Everything is new… This time, it’s full IMAX.”
Although, Dune: Part Two is not in theatres for the general public yet, these are early screening reactions from critics and reviewers. Its 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes is the result of it. Here’s what they have said so far.
In a shock to no one, I absolutely loved #Dune2. Incredible filmmaking. Brilliant score. Entire cast was excellent. My only complaint was I wish it was longer. Not joking around. The movie is 2hr and 40 min(?) and I would have been happy to watch another hour. pic.twitter.com/6PZmfQTEAH

DUNE: PART TWO is a triumph. Even more immense than the first, but much more intimate — Denis Villeneuve manages to streamline the more alienating second half of the book into a riveting, action-packed epic. TWO TOWERS-level mastery of battle sequences. Zendaya is the star. pic.twitter.com/gUYD6g3onN

Dune: Part Two is damn impressive. Villeneuve crafts some truly VISIONARY moments. Austin Butler gives a truly transformative performance (and not talking makeup either). Very moving ending. A wee bit long? Yes. Did I forget I saw it the next day? Yes. Still, gonna be massive. pic.twitter.com/ARooLrTK8z

It seems that the 25-year-old is well involved with Dune saga. Recently, he and a member of the movie’s cast, Dave Bautista, were seen teaming up together to find homes for 100 dogs.

In Dune, Bautista plays Glossu Rabban, a tough enemy of House Atreides and anyone who messes with Baron Harkonnen’s enforcer (Stellan Skarsgård).
Rabban is a big, tough guy with a bad attitude. He’s a fierce fighter and was put in charge of making sure Baron Harkonnen controls Arrakis. Later, the Emperor gives control of the planet to House Atreides. In Part Two, Rabban will lead an army of Sardaukar into the desert to fight the Fremen again.
Dune: Part Two will be in theaters on March 1, 2024, with early IMAX screenings starting on February 25.
