Faría wrote on Instagram that she was completely starstruck by Ira and shared that she met the little cutie as the latter was in the middle of “learning his lines.” However, Faría added that Ira was super kind to her and said yes to a selfie right away. The comment section was filled with hilarious responses to Faría’s remarks.

Superman director James Gunn wrote, “He’s such a great Engineer,” continuing a running gag that Ira would replace anyone in the crew in their respective roles. Another Insta user @laker_spider asked the actress, “Did you get an autograph????”. @dcu_updates warned the Venezuelan actress with the comment, “Careful, he may steal your job.”

Even Gunn was not safe in his job once Ira entered the set of Superman. In an Instagram post, he shared a photo of Ira comfortably sitting in the director’s chair. He wrote, “Someone is in my seat again. And no matter what you guys say, ‘50% more treats, 300% more squirrels’ is not good direction.” Gunn also further joked on his Threads account that Ira had some suggestions for new shots.

DCU’s Lois Lane is still Rachel Brosnahan, but for a few minutes or so, she thought she had lost her job to a nepo baby. Brosnahan shared on her Instagram that Ira Corenswet had taken over her chair and her role. She wrote on her Instagram:

“Sad to report I’ve been recast today. Ira Corenswet will be taking over the role of Lois Lane. Although I’m disappointed (and he is a nepo baby), I wish him luck.”

Her post also received some witty comments from fans and co-stars. While Gunn left the funny response, “Comic accurate,” his wife Jennifer Holland shared a laughing emoji. Hunger Games actress Rachel Zegler wrote, “nepo babies are ruining this industry.” Isabela Merced, who plays Hawkgirl, responded, “That’s nepotism for ya,” with a broken heart emoji.

Corenswet also had a hilarious response to the “allegations” against Ira. He took to his Instagram story to respond to Gunn and Brosnahan. Corenswet shared, “James Gunn & Rachel Brosnahan, plz tag Ira so he can start collecting residual checks. Those squirrels aren’t going to chase themselves.” (via @DCU_Updates).
