The recent events of Jujutsu Kaisen anime have left fans devastated as the series killed off one of the main characters of the series: Kugisaki Nobara. Nobara was a first-year student and grade 3 jujutsu sorcerer at Tokyo Jujutsu High studying under Satoru Gojo alongside Yuji and Megumi. Nobara being killed had a grave effect on Yuji and the Jujutsu Kaisen fans.

Now as the series moves forward with the story during the Shibuya Incident arc, another dark anime may have referenced Nobara in their own story as a sort of tribute to the character. Tatsuki Fujimoto’s iconic manga and anime series Chainsaw Man showed a character in chapter 144 who not only resembled Nobara but also had similar abilities and traits to the character.

A character introduced in chapter 144 by the name of the nail fiend shocked Jujutsu Kaisen fans with an uncanny resemblance to Nobara which was unique for both series, and thus led fans to believe that maybe both series might be connected in some way.

The Nail Fiend in Chainsaw Man

A fiend is a demon who has assumed control of a deceased person’s body. Once a devil turns into a fiend, they lose much of their supernatural strength and capacity to carry out contracts. The characteristic shapes of fiends’ heads help to identify them. The Nail fiend was introduced by Chainsaw Man in chapter 144, but not much was revealed about the character.

Even the name, The “Nail Fiend” is an unofficial fan-given name to the character who seemingly works for Public Safety. Although the “Nail Devil’s” abilities and powers are unknown, based on its appearance, it appears to be controlled by a female corpse. It is also likely capable of manipulating nails and using them to inflict damage on its enemies.

Although not much is known about the character, the resemblance of the character with Nobara is uncanny and is pointed out by various similarities both characters share. It may be a coincidence but the character connects Nobara to Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man which is quite interesting for the fans.

Kugisaki Nobara Resembles The Nail Fiend

The similarities between Nobara and the nail fiend are extremely uncanny, though they could just be coincidences. When Nobara is struck by Mahito’s curse technique near the conclusion of the Shibuya Incident arc, half of her face is destroyed, leaving her with a scarred face and an empty eye socket.

Strangely enough, the resemblance between Chainsaw Man’s Nail Fiend and her is that both have half of their faces missing, exposing their brains. In addition, the Nail Fiend is a female fighter who, like Nobara, uses hammers and nails in battle.

As a result, it wouldn’t be impossible for the Nail Fiend to be a deliberate allusion to Nobara, who in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is on the verge of death and is not been seen since in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.
