Daredevil: Born Again will see Charlie Cox’s titular superhero lawyer take center stage once again, years after the Netflix show’s conclusion. The series is expected to be Daredevil’s first solo outing in the MCU and will explore the conflict between the Man Without Fear and Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, with Vincent D’Onofrio reprising the role.
However, while some other familiar faces such as Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle / Punisher, were also announced to be returning from the Netflix era, fan favorites such as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson and Karen Page were not initially expected to appear. Nonetheless, a new report suggests that the Nelson, Murdock, and Page law firm will reunite in Daredevil: Born Again, and here is how fans are feeling about the news.
Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll’s Return Excites Fans For Daredevil: Born Again
Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll played the fan-favorite characters Franklin “Foggy” Nelson and Karen Page in Netflix’s Daredevil. The duo are the best friends and close-confidants of Charlie Cox’s titular character and serve as the narrative’s emotional backbone. Therefore, it was a huge surprise for fans when it was reported that the characters were unlikely to appear in the show’s Disney+ reboot Daredevil: Born Again.
However, according to Marvel insider Jeff Sneider, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll are now expected to reprise their roles in the series. While details of their involvement are currently being kept under wraps, it is safe to assume the duo will reprise their roles as Foggy and Karen in the later episodes of the show’s eighteen-episode debut season.
Moreover, fans are ecstatic about the news and excited to see Charlie Cox reunite with Henson and Ann Woll. Here is what fans are saying about Foggy and Karen’s planned reunion with Matt Murdock on X.

Daredevil: Born Again Undergoing a Creative Overhaul at Marvel Studios
Daredevil: Born Again was formally announced in July 2022 with 18 episodes for its first season. Chris Ord and Matt Corman were announced as head writers and filming for the series began March 6, 2023, in New York, but was paused due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

During this period, Marvel Studios decided to creatively overhaul the project with almost half of the first season already filmed. As a result of the creative overhaul, head writers Ord and Corman departed the series, and some portions were rewritten. The decision to bring back Henson and Ann Woll was likely also taken during the creative overhaul.
Ord and Corman were replaced by Dario Scardapane, who serves as showrunner. Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who worked on Moon Knight and Loki season 2, were hired to direct the remaining episodes. Filming on the series is expected to resume in 2024, with the hopes of an early 2025 release.
Daredevil, which formerly streamed on Netflix is now available on Disney+.
