With the announcement of Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero and the confirmation of more than 120 playable characters, the resurrection of the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise will be big. Fans are very excited to see this beloved saga come back in the current generation.
Bandai Namco will launch several trailers in the next few months. Some Reddit users are even imagining some manga characters coming to the game in DLC form. It will be very difficult to keep in mind that there is not even confirmation of when the anime will come back.

In the first few trailers, Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero reveals the many forms of Goku and Vegeta that will be available in the game. In the last trailer, Bandai Namco also confirmed more than 120 playable characters. This could mean a lot of DLC coming in the future like Dragon Ball FighterZ did a couple of years ago. The company did not provide any more details. In previous Budokai Tenkaichi games, there was no content for Dragon Ball Super, so this adds a lot of new possibilities.
Reddit user big_peepee_wielder wants a very particular character to be in Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero. The community is obviously saying that this will never happen because it is from the manga and the new anime has not premiered yet.
But this user wants Gas Heata to be in the game, a very spectacular new technique from Goku. Dragon Ball Super’s new mangas have already revealed new transformations and powers for Goku and Vegeta.
The potential of this game is limitless
Both of these legendary characters have a lot of new powers and transformations never seen before, but this has not yet reached the anime. Dragon Ball Super just finished the season of the anime with the final of the Tournament of Power Arc after defeating Jiren. The manga has introduced new and incredible enemies that take power to a whole new level, so this means that Goku and Vegeta need to be even stronger to defeat these new fighters.
A new very weird and big technique from Goku was revealed, and it looks just like the Susanoo from Naruto. But a key detail is that it is from the manga. Just one game of Naruto has launched content from a manga before; the majority of anime-based games just stay with what is shown in the anime series. So these kinds of new characters and abilities have to wait for the anime to be released.
