Ahead of the release of Dragon Ball Super Chapter 100, V JUMP editor Victory Uchida has dropped a teaser about the ending of the Super Hero arc. The mangaka revealed an “unbelievable twist” and “crazy developments” await in the upcoming special edition.
Chapter 100 will be available on VIZ a month after the release of the previous issue. The slow progress of Dragon Ball Super has frustrated fans because the conclusion to Beast Gohan’s fight with Cell Max is pending. The aftermath of the battle is suspected to end the ongoing arc following which the focus will be shifted to Frieza, who has returned in an all-new form.
Fortunately, the teaser by Uchida about the upcoming chapter has resurged the interest of fans. It could have major implications for the battle between Gohan and Cell Max.

V JUMP Editor Gives A Massive Teaser On Dragon Ball Super
X user @peraperayume shared footage from the Bandai Spirits Channel, noting interesting comments by V Jump editors after they hyped the latest Chapter 99 issue. The clip has over 400,000 views on the messaging platform formerly named X. In the video featuring Victory Uchida, the editor revealed something “unbelievable/unexpected” is about to happen in Chapter 100.
Chapter 99 ended with a fully-powered Beast Gohan and Cell Max trading blows. In his desperation, Cell Max decided to power up a world-ending blast but Gohan came up with his own counter, aiming a Special Beam Cannon towards the enemy. The chapter ended with a cliffhanger about whether Cell could dodge the beam or would the beam be the final blow to the antagonist.
What is the “unbelievable twist” that lies in Dragon Ball Super? It could mean Gohan gets support in his battle against Cell Max from returning characters such as Son Goku or Saiyan Vegeta. The return of Frieza in his ‘Black’ form does suggest that Akira Toriyama is aiming to re-introduce multiple fan-favorite characters as the series nears its end.
Not only will Dragon Ball Super Chapter 100 supposedly end the Super Hero arc but it will also feature a few color pages. Toriyama wants to reward his readers for their patience and dedication to his work. The next chapter will be released on December 20, 2023.

The Super Hero Arc In Dragon Ball Super Manga Is Being Adapted Into A Movie Once Again
The ongoing events of the Dragon Ball Super manga have been adapted into the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero that was released in Japan in 2022. It featured Cell Max as the primary antagonist after its form was activated by Magenta. A post-credits scene of the movie also features Vegeta and Goku sparring on Beerus’ planet after the events that happened on planet Cereal.
Once again, Dragon Ball Super is being adapted into a Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie. Even though the film will feature the addition of Krillin and multiple other changes, fans were left a bit disappointed that Dragon Ball was fixated on changing previous movies rather than progressing the animation with new content.
The Super Hero movie was the second-highest-grossing DB film to date. It remains to be seen how the upcoming movie that is based on the events from Chapter 91 onwards of the series fares in ticket sales. Instead of the Goku-Vegeta brawl, the post-credits scene may hint at an upcoming film that is based on Black Frieza.
