Hollywood is finally getting alone with the video game adaptations. Over the last couple of years, with average-to-really-bad movies about different games, the change has been amazing. In the past, numerous adaptations to the big screen were the laughingstock of critics and fans. With terrifying movies like the first Super Mario Bros. Movie or two adaptations of Hitman that were not good at all, the mainstream media is going through a golden age.

Some adaptations have more than an average reception, like Gran Turismo, Sonic: The Hedgehog, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and the incredible The Last of Us series from HBO. The new series, Fallout, has also joined the list of successful video game live-action versions on streaming services. Two of the minds behind the TV show have clarified something really important for fans.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
