With his soothing voice and his role as Woody in the 1995 film Toy Story, Florence Pugh recalled a story about her childhood. The actress stated that during her time in the hospital, she would only fall asleep while listening to Tom Hanks’ voice!

Being a remarkable actress known for her varied portrayal of different roles, Florence Pugh has gained fame in Hollywood quite rapidly. From starring in Midsommar to portraying Yelena Belova in the MCU, the actress has come quite a long way.
And despite all these years, Pugh has always been remarkable in interviews. With a plethora of stories to choose from, Pugh sat alongside Tom Hanks and Graham Norton on The Graham Norton Show. The actress revealed that she “particularly loves the sound of Tom Hanks’ voice” and proceeded to tell a childhood story about it!
“I particularly love the sound of Tom Hank’s voice! My mum actually reminded me this morning. She said ‘Do you remember…because I was sick quite a lot as a kid and I was always in the hospital and they were always trying to find a good position for me to sleep in.”
She further continued,
“Apparently I would always wake up when ‘Toy Story’ was over and the ending credits would play. So she’d quickly get up from her bed and rewind it and press play again. So I’ve been very soothed”
Tom Hanks interjected the conversation by asking “You know what?” and then proceeded to sing the famous song You’ve Got a Friend In Me while Pugh jokingly said that she would fall asleep. With her upcoming role as Princess Irulan in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two, Pugh might have accidentally spoiled the movie before its release!
Florence Pugh Wants To Get Back To The Dune Franchise
Dune: Part Two is on the verge of release and Florence Pugh will be portraying the role of Princess Irulan in the Denis Villeneuve movie. Essentially acting as the narrator of this story, Pugh revealed in an interview with BBC that the movie will end on a cliffhanger!
“I mean it will be great if we could because then we could actually put some things down, but yeah,, we hope so. It ends on a dot dot dot. If people go to the cinema and watch this movie, then there will be more.”
With the franchise going strong, Pugh hopes that she will be once again called to the Dune franchise to reprise her role in the alleged Dune 3 film. With Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and quite an ensemble cast, Dune: Part Two is set for a release date of 1 March 2024 in theaters across the U.S.
