The Xbox Summer Showcase is a box of happiness for all gaming fans. This event has always shared new game updates, announcements of new titles, DLCs and many more every year. And this year isn’t going to be an exception either.
Microsoft has already revealed the dates for this highly anticipated event. The Xbox Summer Showcase is going to be held on Sunday, June 9, at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, and 6 p.m. UK. Not only that, a Call of Duty Direct will also take place after this event. This year’s Summer Showcase is going to be a treat for Gears of War fans too.
Xbox Summer Showcase Will Show More Than Gears 6
Recently, on the official X handle, popular industry insider Tom Warren shared the news of the Xbox Summer Showcase, followed by a Call of Duty direct. In this post, a fan expressed his wish for Gear 6 to be revealed at this event.

In this regard, Warren’s reply has sparked some real speculation. He has stated that, in this event, more than just Gears 6 will be shown.
However, this is not the first time that Gears of War 6 has been teased. The voice actor of JD Fenix, Liam McIntyre, has also teased us about the upcoming Gears of War installment. In a post by McIntyre, a fan asked about the death canon of the famous Gears of War character, JD Phenix.

The voice actor kept his mouth closed, but his intriguing statement about the announcement of the game has surely made fans excited. He replied that fans would get all the answers from the company itself in June.
Now, there is no doubt that the highly anticipated Xbox first-party title, Gears of War 6, will finally be announced at the Xbox Summer Showcase 2024.
The Xbox Summer Showcase Has a Lot to Offer
Besides Gears 6, there will be a lot of other titles and expansions that will be unveiled at this long-awaited event. In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft stated that this event will feature:
“games from our portfolio of studios across Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to titles from our third-party partners.”
Like 2023, this year Xbox will also follow the double format feature, where a dedicated Call of Duty Direct event will be held after the event. In this direct, “the next installment of a beloved franchise” will be shown.”
Last year, it was the Starfield Direct live stream, which happened after the Xbox Summer Showcase 2023. So, there are chances that the highly anticipated Call of Duty 2024, aka the Black Ops Gulf War, might get announced.
Now, it’s up to Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and Microsoft to show how many rabbits they have hidden in their magic hats.
