What began like a test became even more real every year with the PlayStation exclusive games coming to PC. In a new industry where AAA production has a skyrocketing budget, this is the only way to really make a greater profit.

Helldivers 2 is outstanding evidence of this; this game sold more on PC than PS5. Ghost of Tsushima will join this game and will be coming to PC soon. Is Sony following the same path as Xbox and launching exclusive games Day One on PC?

With the current state of the industry, not even the giant companies can do much about not launching their games on other platforms. The sales of the current generation of consoles are not as expected, and this has investors very worried about profit. Sony has been launching various formerly exclusive PlayStation titles on PC.

Apart from the fan backlash, this is making the ridiculously expensive project much more profitable. This is a good thing for new AAA games in the future. But there is one thing that Sony is not making that much of, and it’s actually quite a big deal; a simultaneous launch on both the PS5 and PC.

The latest game that will come to PC will be Ghost of Tsushima in May. This will not be the last title from PlayStation Studios coming to PC. Sony could really benefit from launching more games that are not so big on PC Day one.

The X insider Silknigth has been analyzing this strategy, talking about how some games that are not so big for PS5 could have launched at the same time for PC. The industry is trying to make more profit for games that have budgets above $200 million, and this is very difficult.

PlayStation Studios has changed its strategy forever; the massive budget needs a bigger profit, so there are many rumors that even more titles will be coming to PC soon. Gran Turismo 7 could be one of these games. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will eventually drop on PC; the same goes for God of War Ragnarök. But Sony is even considering the possibility of more platforms aside from PCs.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut will be available on PC on May 16 and will have any kind of compatibility with graphic technologies like DLSS. The game will also be compatible with ultrawide resolutions. As for the DualSense, it will be compatible with the game.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
