Andrew Garfield Refused To Attend a Spider-Man 3 Event

Andrew Garfield was phenomenal as Web-Head, and many people consider him to be the best actor to helm the role. In spite of his outstanding performance, his The Amazing Spider-Man films underperformed at the box office. This led to the disappointment of the executives at the actor, but they decided to continue with him, as they organized a lavish event in Brazil in 2014 to announce an alleged 3rd Spider-Man film.

However, the actor pulled his last straw as he decided to leave the executives embarrassed as he canceled his appearance at the last minute. As per The Guardian, in 2015 emails were leaked, which described that the actor refused to leave his hotel room, and he just wanted to be “left alone.”

“Here we are about one hour away from our gala event and Andrew decides he doesn’t want to attend. He has a rather scruffy beard and he just wants to be left alone.”

However, the actor looked at his behavior before the 2014 event, and in an exclusive interview with The Guardian, he stated “I got my heart broken a little bit.” Describing that he grew up from a naive boy to a more mature man, and how it was an experience in itself leading to a big awakening.

“I got my heart broken a little bit. I went from being a naive boy to growing up. How could I ever imagine that it was going to be a pure experience?” He gives a dry, joyless laugh. “There are millions of dollars at stake and that’s what guides the ship. It was a big awakening and it hurt.

While the actor is never in the headlines for the wrong reasons, he has shared that he is not as good as people claim him to be as he has misused his fame for a pretty bad thing.

Andrew Garfield Uses His Fame To Get Seats In Restaurants

Andrew Garfield is not only renowned for his acting skills but also for his kind and humble demeanor. Naturally, he is often regarded as one of the most down-to-earth personalities often showcasing acts of kindness and affection to his fans and co-stars. However, the actor himself believes that he, himself is not so “goody-goody.”

In the same interview with The Guardian, the Under the Silver Lake actor was asked to state “the last time he behaved like an ar**hole, or used his fame to gain advantage.” Andrew Garfield was flattered, as he shared that he now has proven that he is not the sweetest person that people think him to be. The actor thought for some time and stated that he never acted like a jerk but he sometimes used his fame to get a table in a restaurant.

“That’s very sweet of you. And now I have to prove I’m not a goody-goody. I don’t think I’ve ever used my fame to be an ar**hole. I think I would be able to admit it. Maybe I might have used it to get a table at a restaurant occasionally.”

While the interviewer assured him that it was not bad at all, and he replied “I’m sorry I guess I’m a goody-goody, then. Maybe that’s the extent of it.” He was surely flushed to admit that he had done such a thing.
