Helldivers 2 is a game about intergalactic warfare and players act as soldiers to combat the hostile alien threat. However, the gaming community feels like one of the stratagems provided isn’t as effective, and ultimately stopped using it which is quite concerning.
The Mechs were once the most sought-after items in the game but the players are not fond of their weak durability. The firepower is decent but it is not sufficient compensation to keep using them in the field for enemies to destroy easily, therefore the players rendered it useless.
Mechs Are No Fun to Use in Helldivers 2
There was a time when the Mechs were on the radar of every player and even the developers underestimated how much the community wanted it and grinded as fast as they could and unlocked them at an unprecedented rate. Unfortunately, it is not as efficient as it used to be and was abandoned completely.

Some players in the community have some ideas on how to revolutionize the Mechs in Helldivers 2 by giving them the option to swap out weapons and allow players to customize the war machine to their liking. This feature could make the Mechs more relevant and useful, especially with the recent changes the developers have made and could improve the entertainment value since the community is slowly giving up on it.
Arrowhead Game Studios is going through a rough patch after the recent backlash. The developers became prime targets for bullying and online abuse which had a hand in the drastic decline in quality. It is not too late to salvage the game if the developers can overhaul older stratagems and give the players a reason to use them in the war effort.
Arrowhead Game Studios Needs to Do Better for Helldivers 2
The players are holding their breaths for the ultimate patch that would resolve all of their problems, however, that is unlikely. Live service games will always need constant oversight and support from developers and issues are like weed that will be quickly replaced after one is removed.
It is quite unfortunate to see how the Mechs are disregarded but Arrowhead Game Studios should take this as a cautionary tale and avoid repeating the same mistake. Perhaps the next stratagem could be what the Mechs should have been and give the players the benefits they want and need.
The players will need all the help they can get especially for the imminent arrival of new enemy types like the Illuminate. New enemy types could also pose a serious problem if the weapons the players have at their disposal are too weak or inefficient.
The developers can do some slight tweaking to improve the durability of the Mechs to get them back in the field or even apply the suggestions of fans. The durability is equally important as its destructive capabilities.
