The PlayStation 5 exclusive is curated especially to be played with teammates who unite to get through missions that are set on planets invaded with alien bugs or plagued by terrifying robots. And when things get difficult and brutal in Helldivers 2, there is a savior that players can turn to.

Who is ‘.atasu’?

Skull Admiral ‘.atasu’ in Helldivers 2 is being called the game’s very own Let Me Solo Her. In a Reddit post, the player shared “I am that level 50 guy.” The player has reached 50 levels after playing for more than 200 hours in just a month of launch. The game launched on February 8, 2024, across PlayStation 5 and PC.

Interestingly, ‘.atasu’ has unlocked almost everything that the game has to offer. The Super Credits are the only resource of value left to farm for the player. Not having much to do in the game, the 28-year-old player was on the lookout for more rewarding experiences.

This is when they spotted something shining bright on the galaxy map. This shiny thing was nothing but a SOS call. Helldivers 2 players can use a SOS Beacon Stratagem whenever they need help. This includes firing a flare high into the sky, which is viewable from orbit.

When a player raises an SOS call, the same is displayed on the lobby on the galaxy map accompanied by a ping. ‘.atasu’ in a Reddit post said, “I like answering distress calls.

The player revealed to IGN,

“If I’m on an SOS run, I start with level 3-4 difficulty. If everything till level nine is free of SOS signals, I start my own level 5-7 operation, so anyone in a search for a group could join and after we can go to higher difficulties.”

They shared that once out in the field, they help other players by offering them high-tier equipment, tips, and completing objectives. Some of the best Stratagems in Helldivers 2 are restricted to high-level players. Thus players at lower levels may find themselves struggling. However, in such situations, they can call their teammates during a mission and let them use them instead.

‘.atasu’ shared that most players they come across are initially reluctant to use the high-tier gear offered by them. They sometimes play a game of rock, paper scissors to break the ice using Helldivers 2’s emote system.

The 28-year-old also added that they have already answered more than 100 SOS signals already in Helldivers 2. Additionally, the feedback so far has been quite positive, both in and out of the game. Several players have reached out on .atasu’s Reddit post directly.

Similarly, .atasu gets the occasional message on the battlefield thanking them. Notably, .atasu has also started streaming his adventures on the streaming platform, Twitch. Here, they have already shared a lot of footage showcasing their rescue operations.

However, .atasu likes to stay close to the ground about their fame. “I want to clarify, I’m not flawless. I usually kill myself with my Scorcher a few times per operation.” They further shared that the best thing is when someone they go to help, instead helps them and saves them from a Bile Titan that suddenly appears behind.
