Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones offers players a massive map in which they can live out their pirate fantasy. With tons of treasure to find and sea battles to experience, it’s not uncommon for new players to lose their bearings. Outposts and settlements on the map make navigating a bit easier, but few are as important to find as the Sacred Tree outpost.
This location is imperative for players as it houses vendors through whom the player can access various ship blueprints, resources, and upgrades. The location also acts as a fast travel point and opens up the rest of the map for the player. If you’re having trouble locating this outpost, we’ll show you how to find the Sacred Tree location below.
Here’s how to find the Sacred Tree outpost so you can start exploring the world of Skull and Bones
You may hear of the Sacred Tree outpost now and again during your playthrough, but you will have to eventually find this location to progress your Skull and Bones journey. To reach the Sacred Tree outpost, you will have to carefully steer your ship through some narrow rivers in the central part of the map. To be precise, it will require you to travel down the canal west of Sainte-Anne. This is also your initial location after you complete the Skull and Bones tutorial.
Look across the sea from Sainte-Anne and you will spot an entrance to a canal leading further westwards, passing various islands and settlements. Follow this canal until you arrive at a fork where you will need to take the route heading south. Do not take the route heading north, this will take you to a completely different part of the map from where you would have to come all the way back.
Sail south from the fork until you arrive at a location labeled Rova Hill situated on the right side of the canal on the map, but will appear on your left when you are sailing south. The Sacred Tree outpost can be found right by the Rova Hill text on the map. It’s not a location you’ll miss given the large autumnal tree found in the center. The tree is the tallest in the area, so once you spot it, just head in its direction to find the location.
The Sacred Tree outpost has a lot to offer the weary pirates of Skull and Bones
Exploring the area around the Sacred Tree outpost will reward the player with a variety of blueprints, furniture, and weapons. Earning these will require the player to complete contracts for the residents at Sacred Tree. Some of the items sold by vendors in the area include Tearing Culverin I/II, Cannonball Crate, Long Gun I, and Bombard II. Given the frequency of battle on the open seas, players should get these upgrades as soon as they can.
