“I do not want you to draw abs on me. It is a pride thing, and I actually wanted to have that body for real, and show it in the film.”

In one of Henry Cavill‘s movies, Immortals, Cavill’s character had to be in a top-notch physique, ripped chest and back, eight-pack abs, and whatnot. So taking into account the time that was left before the filming of the movie, it was almost physically impossible for him to appear with such a figure. Thus, the visual effects team suggested they cover it up with CGI to which Cavill readily disagreed and embarked on a mission to transform himself into a Greek God, which he did after facing many difficulties. So, when the Man of Steel actor appeared for the shoot, everyone got to witness his dedication to his role and the movie.

Henry Cavill’s New Mission Post Hollywood Hiccups

Henry Cavill had his first hiccup with The Witcher after he removed himself from the popular Netflix adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel, as many controversies regarding the lead and the management were going around in social media. According to popular reports, the showrunners were unhappy with Cavill as their vision for the show did not align, and thus currently, Cavill will not be reprising his role as Geralt of Rivial from the fourth season onwards. Cavill wanted to follow Sapkowski’s original work and the show deviated from the original source material, thus causing a rift between the two.

Henry Cavill faced his second, and probably the most disappointing and heartbreaking hiccup with his ousting from the DC Universe, stripping him away of the ‘Hope’ that he symbolizes. After James Gunn was appointed as the new co-CEO of DCU, the first thing he did was disregard SnyderVerse and fire the Enola Holmes actor from his Superman role. After Zack Snyder made his exit from DCEU, Cavill faced a roadblock with his future in the comic franchise and although, after many years he got to step on the big screen for a very short cameo in Black Adam, everyone’s dreams were short-lived.
