The owner posted a video on social media informing fans of the famed alligator that it has been reportedly abducted, and a search and rescue operation is currently ongoing. He also pleaded to return his pet with a guaranteed reward.

The Search Continues For Missing Wally The Emotional Support Alligator

Joie Henney aired his frustration over TikTok when he announced that Wally The Emotional Support Alligator has been missing.

We need all the help we can get to bring my baby back. There’s a reward out for Wally’s return safely with no questions asked. Please help us. Please.”

In a more detailed post via Facebook, the page shared what happened upon discovering that Wally was missing.

Wally was stolen by some jerk who likes to drop alligators off into someone’s yard to terrorize them. Once discovered they called DNR, DNR then called a trapper. The trapper came and got Wally and dropped him off in a swamp with about 20 other alligators that same day.”

It would be difficult to find the alligator once it is placed in a large swamp together with other wild creatures. The search is still being done, and authorities won’t stop until they find the model inspiration for Loki’s famous variant.

The swamp is very large, and the trapper said the chances of them finding Wally is slim to none.  But this is Wally. Joie and friends are currently headed to the swamp to search and will continue daily. We just pray with other alligators present that Wally is ok.”

Wally inspired the character Alligator Loki from the Disney+ series Loki. Marvel Studios never confirmed this, but Loki writer and producer Eric Martin once wrote in a now-deleted tweet:

While #AlligatorLoki is wholly a creation of @michaelwaldron’s weird mind, we did have a real world visual reference for him.”

It’s sad that an innocent alligator becomes the victim of nonsense prank, so hopefully, Wally will be rescued soon and immediately returned to its owner.

In a YouTube documentary called Beastly, Joie Henney shared how he acquired Wally The Emotional Support Alligator:

He was a wild alligator. Wally is a four-year-old American alligator. He was rescued in Orlando, Florida. We got him three years ago, and he’d been my best buddy since. He is far from the typical alligator. He loves cuddling. He loves giving kisses. Hugs. It’s just incredible. He is a federally licensed emotional support alligator.”

Fans sympathized with the owner and expressed their support for him and Wally. Many prayed that the poor alligator would be safely returned to its home. Check out their tweets below:

Whether Wally truly inspired Alligator Loki or not, he’s still a well-loved character that fans would definitely want to see again on the screen.
