In a big series finale moment, Loki gives up his life to save the multiverse. He destroys the TVA’s time machine (the Temporal Loom), which controls the main timeline, and takes on a new role.

Without the Loom, lots of new timelines appear. With his new power, Loki becomes the ‘God of Stories,’ connecting these timelines to keep the multiverse steady.

This ending ties up Loki’s story nicely, but leaves his next steps a mystery. He’s changed from a troublemaker to a powerful force keeping the multiverse in harmony.

So, Loki’s story doesn’t definitively end in season 2. Being the ‘God of Stories’ sets the stage for more of his adventures in the MCU.

“I don’t know, I really don’t know. I know that we’ve reached some sort of narrative conclusion with season two, which feels very satisfying to me.”

He feels that Loki’s story has concluded on a satisfying note. By the end of Season 2, Loki takes on the mantle of the ‘God of Stories,’ which is a major change for his character. The actor seemed pleased with this new direction, which questions: if this is the end of Loki’s standalone adventures?

He then delved into Loki’s character evolution, comparing the Loki we see in Season 2 with his early days in the Avengers movies. The Marvel star doesn’t view Loki as just a villain; he believes “once upon a time” Loki “was making some misguided choices,” but has grown “slightly more generous, loving and heroic choices,” over time.

Rumors are swirling that Loki might make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars movie. The movie is based on a huge comic book event (inspired from 2015 Secret Wars) and promises to be a massive clash across different universes.

Loki has gathered a wealth of knowledge about magic, artifacts, and different realities throughout his time in the MCU. His mastery of magic, specifically illusion magic, could be his ticket to Secret Wars.

Considering Loki’s newfound role as the guardian of the multiverse (after overlooking a TVA reshaped by chaos), his presence in Secret Wars seems almost inevitable. And, even fans also thinks so! Check out their fan reactions:
