Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum joined other celebrities around the world who mourned the death of actor Chance Perdomo. The Gen V star was reportedly involved in a motorcycle accident on March 29 and passed away. The actor was known for his roles in Chilling Adventures with Sabrina, the After series, and Killed by My Debt. He was twenty-seven years old at the time of his passing.
Rosenbaum posted on his X (formerly Twitter) that the actors had met recently to film an episode of Rosenbaum’s podcast. He mentioned that the podcast was yet to be aired and that he was too emotional after the actor’s death. He also called Perdomo an ‘amazing soul’ and said he was very articulate.

Michael Rosenbaum is no stranger to superhero roles. The actor had his breakthrough with the CW show Smallville, in which he played Lex Luthor. The actor has also voiced many DC characters in the franchise’s animated films and shows such as Batman Beyond, Justice League Unlimited, and Justice League: Doom. He starred as Martinex T’Naga in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
Hence, when fellow comic book actor Chance Perdomo passed away recently after a motorcycle accident, the actor took to his social media to express his condolences. Michael Rosenbaum mentioned how ‘sweet and articulate’ Perdomo was when he met him and that he was ‘utterly shocked’ by his passing. He said on X (formerly Twitter),
“Heartbroken at the loss of such an amazing soul. I just had Chance on the podcast, which hasn’t aired yet, and we had such a lovely time. He was so sweet and articulate. Too freaking soon, man. I’m utterly shocked by his passing. I just got a little emotional RIP.”
Rosenbaum also revealed that he and Chance Perdomo recorded an episode of his podcast Inside of You and that it was yet to be aired. The podcast usually sees celebrities talk about intimate details of their lives and unravel the lessons they have learned along the way. Fans seemed to be sad about what would be one of the actor’s final appearances.

Actor Chance Perdomo had gained notoriety for his roles in the shows Midsomer Murders, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and the recent The Boys spinoff Gen V. He had also appeared in the After film franchise and gave a BAFTA nominated performance in the BBC drama Killed by My Debt.
A statement released by Perdomo’s publicist mentioned that he passed away in a motorcycle accident and that he was the only one involved. The statement also asked for fans and the media to respect the privacy of his family. The statement to The Guardian read,
“His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest. We ask you to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.”
Many actors and celebrities from around the world sent their condolences to the star. The Boys actors Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, and Karen Fukuhara reportedly posted the news on their Instagram stories, expressing their sadness about the young star’s tragic death. Ted Sarandos, the co-chief of Netflix, posted about the actor on his Instagram.
The producers of Gen V, along with Amazon MGM Studios, also put out a statement about the actor’s death, mentioning his contributions to the show. It was also mentioned that the second season of the show would be postponed indefinitely (via X).
