The Mirror claims that the proposal was put forth “while ago”. An insider informed the outlet:
“They have been besotted with each other from day one, so taking this next step was inevitable. They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.”
The Madame Web star is making headlines this week thanks to her lengthy interview with Bustle, which featured some rare comments about her personal life. The Texas-born actress, 34, started dating Martin, 47, in 2017, and she told the publication that she enjoys seeing him perform live with Coldplay.
“I could watch him every day. I don’t know how to explain it. I feel like, I don’t know…I’m watching my most favorite being do his most favorite thing.”
“Watching anyone who is so good at something is s*xy”, she continued. During that same interview, Johnson discussed his role as stepmother to kids, whom Martin shares with Paltrow.
Remarkably, Paltrow also talked about her own experience as a stepmother to Brad Falchuk’s children from a previous marriage, and how her relationship with them was initially challenging. She referred to this experience as (via People):
