Sophia Di Martino‘s Sylvie proved to be a standout in the first season of Loki. Along with Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, the duo explored the multiverse and exposed the shady nature of the Time Variance Authority. Di Martino returned in season 2 as she, Loki, and Owen Wilson’s Mobius try to prevent the various timelines from being wiped out.

The ending of the season provided satisfying closure for the trio as far as the series is concerned, at the same time leaving room for possible further appearances. The three actors recently made an appearance at the FYC Emmy screening of the show. Variety conducted a Q&A with the actors where they were asked about whether there would be a third season for a future at Marvel with their characters.

While they have no idea about either of those, Di Martino expressed her hopes of where she wants her character to go. The actress stated that she wants Sylvie to meet Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor and have an exciting arc together with Loki in the mix. She said,

“I think it would be great to see Sylvie and Thor. I think it would be fun to see them get wound up, especially if Loki is in the equation. Three siblings together? The dynamic would be interesting.”

Fans have also been clamoring for a reunion between Loki and Thor after the latter mourned Loki’s death in Avengers: Infinity War. After Thor: Love and Thunder and Loki season 2, the characters have gone through a big evolution, and with Sylvie now in the mix, it will be great to see how Thor deals with two Lokis and the dynamic that develops between them.

Tom Hiddleston debuted as Loki in 2011’s Thor opposite Chris Hemsworth. The character is portrayed as a selfish, power-hungry, and opportunistic villain who is ready to betray anyone for his own gain. He has gone through a drastic evolution over the years and by the end of Loki season 2, he became a messianic figure,  with his selfless act of being the one to save the disintegration of the multiverse.

Hiddleston was interviewed by Variety recently where he talked about the legacy of the character and his journey in the MCU. The actor revealed that he is proud of how season 2 ended and the evolution of Loki from a broken soul to a heroic figure. He claimed that playing the character over the years has been an honor. Hiddleston said,

“I am so proud of where we landed in Season 2. To go from this lost, broken soul in Asgaard, and be given a second chance and learn so much about life that he actually gives himself to protect other people, has been such an honor.”

The actor further stated that he had no idea about the character’s future in the MCU. As the new God of Time, he can play a huge role in the future of the Multiversal saga, especially in the upcoming Avengers films. It remains to be seen when and if Marvel brings back Loki in a big way after his amazing arc in the Loki show.
