Julia Fox Admitted Being ‘Stoned’ After an Uncut Gems Interview Went Viral
The 34-year-old actress became the talk of the town back in 2022 after she pronounced herself “stoned” after a clip from an interview of hers went viral on the Internet.
In Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked the actress whether she considered herself Kanye West’s muse. Julia Fox admitted, “Yeah, a little. Maybe.”
She further added that the directors behind Uncut Gems, Josh and Benny Safdie have also deemed her as one.
“I mean, I was Josh Safie’s muse when he wrote ‘Uncut Gems.’”
While nothing seemed wrong with what she said, it was her pronunciation of Uncut Gems that caught people’s attention with the Internet leaving no time to poke fun at her.
Many took to social media to imitate her pronunciation of the 2019 film’s title. Page Six compiled fan reactions’ to her viral clip and posted it on their Instagram account, which eventually reached the actress. She left no time to clarify the situation as she commented on the post,
“Omggggg I was stoned leave me alone!!!! Hahahahahah.”
Fox had a breakout role in the thriller playing the mistress of Adam Sandler’s character Howard, named Julia De Fiore. She enjoyed a brief relationship with Ye in early 2022 before eventually splitting up for good. While their relationship looked quite glam on the outside, it was otherwise within.
Julia Fox Reflected on Her Relationship With Kanye West
In last year’s interview with ES, the mother of one reflected on her brief romance with Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, stating that they initially had “a good amount” of love spark with one another.
Since their courtship period garnered major media attention, she faced intense scrutiny, revealing it was the latter who approached her.
“He got my number through a mutual friend, period.”
Talking about their past relationship, she added,
“It was just like, he still wants to hang out with me today, let’s do it. And then real life set in and the lifestyle wasn’t sustainable. I couldn’t fly away once a week. And I tapped out at the first sign of a red flag.”
She elaborated on the reasoning behind red flags as she stated,
“The unresolved issues that he was dealing with. It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it, or energy. I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I’m proud of myself for that.”
The former couple had garnered major public attention, who made several appearances including an overseas flight trip to Paris Fashion Week in matching denim outfits.
