Emily Blunt made an appearance on Stephen Colbert‘s show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, earlier this year. They spoke on a variety of subjects, and, at one point, he pointed out how her husband has become a regular on the show.
The host proceeded to show Blunt a photo of him and Krasinski engaged in an arm wrestling bout. When Colbert asked Blunt for a way to defeat him, the actress had a hilarious answer.
“I feel like you are in luck because he has been directing nonstop. He has had no time to work out, his arms are like noodles,” she said. When Colbert implied that Krasinski was no longer like Jack Ryan, Blunt added with a sly smile, “I wouldn’t say he’s fat-Ryan, but he’s not jacked Ryan.”
John Krasinski plays the titular character in the political thriller series Jack Ryan, based on characters created by Tom Clancy. In the four seasons of the show, the actor has consistently delivered phenomenal performances. However, he has been focusing his attention on direction of late and has provided hits like A Quiet Place and its subsequent sequel, starring Blunt.
As for Blunt, the actress has been riding the wave of success from her last film, Oppenheimer. Helmed by Christopher Nolan, it saw the actress play the role of Kitty Oppenheimer, the wife of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb. The film went on to win seven Oscars across various categories, and Blunt herself was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
The Girl on the Train actress has been on the receiving end of adoration from fans and colleagues alike. Unsurprisingly, John Krasinski has also been fawning over her at recent award shows, setting the bar higher for couples, and Blunt too had the highest praise for him.

Krasinski and Blunt are a match made in heaven. The Office star was a huge fan of the actress before they began dating in 2008.
Krasinski popped the question in 2009, and she said yes. During an interview with Access Hollywood, Krasinski recalled how the proposal happened. “She said yes! It was very casual. I was nervous and the whole nine yards. She did cry after I cried and we cried and then everyone around us was crying,” he said.
The couple got married in 2010 at George Clooney’s house by Lake Como in Italy. They have been going strong ever since, and even have two beautiful daughters together.
