User @LordBalvin stated that the game was reportedly retooled to make Monolith’s Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor game. The leaked footage showed a few of the gadgets that would have been available for Batman. The clip also showed how detective work might have appeared in the game, and then presented the footage of a stealth sequence.

As this game used the Nemesis NPC system, user @LordBalvin claimed that it was retooled to build Monolith’s Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor game. For the unknown, the Nemesis system is a groundbreaking NPC system, where, unlike the traditional systems, the enemies in the game will remember the player’s moves and react according to them.

Another user @Dageekydude, shared some photos of the canceled game on X. According to Dageekydude, the game would have featured the Tumbler, which would have allowed the players to drive around the city.

Moreover, the Nemesis System would have been a great addition to this game, and players would have had a great experience while fighting the gangs in Gotham.

Nevertheless, it looks like Warner Bros. didn’t want to go forward with two concurrent Batman franchises, i.e. Nolanverse games and the Arkham games. Therefore, the studio went forward with only the Arkham game series and retooled the other to Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
