Kathryn Hahn is all ready to don her witch’s hat for Marvel’s upcoming Agatha All Along. The WandaVision spin-off was originally announced in 2021 and will be set after the shocking events of the series. Announced at Disney’s recently-heald upfront presentation, the cast also graced the occasion and chatted along with the media. While talking to Deadline, the trio revealed how beautiful the sets of the show were and that they actually cried after seeing the Witches’ Road set.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe often has some of the most jaw-dropping cinematic scenes and landscapes that really knock the ball out of the park. However, most of such thrilling scenes are the result of excellent CGI, which Marvel is often criticized for. But that is not the case for the upcoming Marvel show, Agatha All Along.

After going through numerous title changes, the official and final title was just announced Tuesday at Disney’s upfront presentation. While the cast and crew looked excited that the show has finally gotten a release date, Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke, and Patti LuPone described to Deadline what the best part of the shoot was.

“The thing about this show which I thought was so thrilling that Jac Schaeffer who wrote it, and also WandaVision, it was very important to her and Mary Liviano, our producer that there be as minimal CGI. So there is very little that is not practical magic… Sets are incredible… It was just delicious… It was an immersive experience.”

Revealed Hahn to the news site. Remarking how great it was filming for the upcoming MCU show, the trio also revealed how stunning the sets were. But the real draw was the famous Witches’ Road that left them in tears.

The famous fictional Witches Road from Marvel Comics is a pane of existence accessible only to sorcerers. Set in earth-16558, the pane is situated in a domain known as Magika and is also the home of the Scarlet Queen. Having appeared several times in the comics, the pane is set to make its MCU debut with Agatha All Along.

While we certainly are excited to see how it connects in the story, it will be even more exciting to see what it looks like. While talking to Deadline, Patti LuPone revealed how they burst into tears seeing the famous Witches’ Road’s set.

“The set, the production design, the set dressers, the lighting, the costumes.. everybody on the creative end were at the top of their game… [Witches’ Road] was absolutely beautiful. We burst into tears when we got on the set and we saw the actual Witches’ Road… It looks like a $100 million dollar movie.”

An exciting update for the show, the cast’s comments are sure to excite comic book fans. Slated to stream on Disney+, Agatha All Along will have a two episode premiere on September 18, 2024.
