Tom Hiddleston Thinks This May Not Be It For Loki

During a recent interview with Comicbook, Tom Hiddleston talked about whether this is actually the end of Loki. Loki is a character that has died many times throughout his time in the MCU. Two specific deaths stand out, the first being at the end of Thor: Dark World, which turned out to be the trickster, playing a trick, and the other being at the start of Avengers: Infinity War, when his character actually died at the hands of Thanos. Due to this, The actor has learned that it may never be wise to say, at any point, that this is the end for this character.

“It’s so hard because I’ll be completely honest with you, Brandon, I have at least twice in my life said goodbye,” Hiddleston said. “I’ve written to Kevin Feige and Louis de Esposito and Victoria Alonso and been like, ‘Thank you so much. It’s been like the role of a lifetime,’ and they’ve written notes back saying, ‘Come and see us anytime. You’re always part of the family. We’re always here. You’ve given us so much and tears have been shared.’ So I think I’d be unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it.”

He mentioned exactly this, stating that he has said goodbye to this character two times, shed his tears, and shared his gratitude for his time playing this role, only to come back in some new, unique way. Due to this, the actor stated that it be unwise for him to believe that this would be the end for someone who refuses to die, and audiences refuse to let die.

Could He Make A Come-Back With Thor?

Despite this, it is important to note that there have been no mentions, easter eggs, or teasers, that point to a potential return for the character. While many look at this as bad news, this may not be the case as there is another character who is in the same boat, with no updates and scheduled appearances, however, we are one hundred percent certain that they are still part of the franchise. The person in question is Chris Hemsworth, who plays the role of Loki’s brother, Thor Odinson.

“I think both Thor and Loki have had to excavate and analyze the past and who they feel they really are and what they really want,” He went on, “Loki might be expecting Thor to behave in a certain way or be a certain way. Thor might be expecting Loki to be a certain way. So I think initially it would be really confusing, but also they’d been apart for a long time, and no doubt they’ve been objects in each other’s mind. And so yeah, I think I wonder a reunion would likely be, we’ll see.”

Hiddleston stated that it would be very interesting for his character to return alongside Thor, something that is extremely anticipated by fans, not only because the God of Thunder believes that his brother is dead, something that forced him down a spiral, but also because of the fact that both of them have exploded, their own parts of self-growth, making them to almost be completely different people. This would make that interaction all the more exciting and highly anticipated, however, their growth would make it all the more better.
