Game of Thrones, the HBO fantasy drama that ran from 2011 to 2019, spawned 8 seasons. Created by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss based on the popular novel A Song of Fire and Ice by George R.R. Martin, the drama series saw a plethora of amazing actors who played characters from the fictional land of Westoros. One of the most popular characters from the show is the one played by Kit Harington – Jon Snow, aka Aegon Targaryen.

Back in 2021, two years after the main series ended, there were rumors of a sequel – Snow, starring Kit Harrington in the lead. After getting blessings from GRRM, the spin-off news gained a lot of hype, but unfortunately, things did not take off like fans wanted. And now, more than two years later, things still aren’t looking to take shape just yet. But there is one GoT alum who is open to return if the spin-off ever takes off.

Game of Thrones Actor John Bradley Is Open to Return For Jon Snow Spin-off

Game of Thrones saw many actors in various roles that were immensly loved by the audiences. While Kit Harington‘s Jon Snow was undoubtedly a fan favorite, another character who was very close to Jon also gained a lot of love and appreciation. Snow’s closest confidant in the show was Samwell Tarly, played by John Bradley. In a recent conversation with ComicBook.com, Bradley revealed whether he would be open to return for the Snow spin-off show.

“Well, one of those things is more in my own hands than the other, I should say. But it depends what you want more. What would you prefer? I am at your service. What would you prefer?”

He further said that it all depended on what fans wanted. If they wanted, he would be happy to come back as Samwell Tarly.

“I think one thing can’t be any more impossible than anything else. It’s either impossible or it isn’t though … The distance between possible and impossible is massive.”

It would be great if Bradley returns to the role of Harrington if the spin-off ever does end up happening. Currently, John Bradley is working on 3 Body Problem.

Will the Jon Snow Spin-off Happen?

Game of Thrones ended in May 2019, with the character of Jon Snow choosing to be exiled beyond The Wall. After killing Daenerys Targaryen – the previous queen of Westoros – he chose a life beyond The Wall and was seen riding off along with the rest of the wildlings. If a spin-off ever happened, the show will probably give fans a glimpse of Jon Snow in his wildling avatar, living in the mountains.

While HBO seemed happy with the idea of the spin-off initially, CEO Casey Bloys layer said that the show happening anytime soon is not possible. While Harrington is keen to return for the spin-off, whether the show takes off and actually materializes is still up in the air. With HBO’s current timeline, and even depending on Kit Harrington’s availability, the show gaining ground before the next year or so doesn’t seem plausible.

All seasons of Game of Thrones are available for on Max.
