It seems that Iman Vellani is back at it again and trying to create hype for the upcoming MCU projects. With the hype that was created for Avengers: Endgame, the hype hasn’t been reached once again by any MCU projects.
Trying to get the hype for future projects, Iman Vellani talked about how the Marvel Cinematic Universe could employ certain steps for the future. Although people supported the actress for her statements, many fans were not impressed with Vellani trying to teach Marvel how to create hype.
Iman Vellani Talked About How To Create Hype For The MCU
Robert Downey Jr.’s iconic portrayal of Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was part of the reason why the Avengers movies had so much hype about them. Before Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame, fans used to rally around every MCU project and watch them with all their heart and love.
After Tony Stark’s death, however, the landscape of the MCU changed. In an exclusive interview with The Direct, Iman Vellani, who portrays the role of Ms. Marvel in the MCU sat down for a chat and talked about what Marvel Studios lack at the moment.
“I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s about just getting bigger and bigger and bigger. Because then, like, what’s left? You know, I think it’s just about making the audience care about their characters. And I think they’ve established so many wonderful characters in the last phase of the MCU that it would be nice to see them all again and see them team up.”
She further continued,
“I think, because there are so many new characters people want to like, start shipping people together and be like, ‘Oh, seeing Kamala and like the Red Guardian together.’ Like imagining all these pair-ups, and I think that would definitely pay off. It’ll be like, you know, the next Avengers.”
Although the actress meant well for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, several fans were not so impressed or grateful for Iman Vellani’s advice.
Fans Were Not Impressed By Iman Vellani’s Statements
In trying to create hype for future MCU projects, the statements backfired on Iman Vellani as people across the world took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss these comments. Relating these comments to the recent failure of The Marvels, fans questioned the actress on her statements.

If she’s that smart and Feige loves her then why didn’t The Marvels work at the Box Office. It got a B CinemaScore which means even the general audience rejected it. Same for her show Ms Marvel which got the lowest viewership.

Although some people spoke against the actress, it seems that Vellani does have a fair point that people have simply stopped caring about these MCU characters. It would indeed be a great future if the higher-ups at Marvel Studios took note of Vellani’s words and changed their projects accordingly.
