In the film, Millicent Simmonds gave an exceptional performance as a part of a family, which is trying to survive in complete silence. Simmonds’s character Regan Abbott played a role of a deaf girl in the film.

“And watching her mom sort of cry at that moment, ‘I’ve always wondered what it would be like to be my daughter, and you finally delivered it for me.’ And I cried hard.”

“At the end when he signs, ‘I love you.’ I said I think he needs to say, ‘I’ve always loved you.’ Because that covers the difficult period. Then when I suggested that he cried.”

The film was appreciated by fans and critics. It grossed $350 million worldwide. A sequel of the film was made in 2020 which grossed $297 million worldwide. There are talks about the production of A Quiet Place 3.
