James Gunn recently took to X to share the VFX breakdown for the Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 final fight scene. The final fight in the movie wasn’t just a flashy display of superpowers or an earth-shattering clash. Instead, it was a bittersweet, desperate scramble for survival, perfectly mirroring the film’s emotional core.

Surrounded by the monsters of the High Evolutionary, the Guardians fought not for glory or conquest, but to protect each other and escape with their lives.Despite the grounded nature of the fight, the scene wasn’t devoid of VFX brilliance.

Weta FX, the wizards behind the film’s stunning visuals, employed a combination of practical effects and CGI to bring the monstrous creations to life. Gunn took to X to applaud the efforts of each and everyone involved in making things happen.

The movie will feature a younger version of the Man of Steel but it would not be an origin story. Superman Legacy will also mark the debut of Guy Gardener aka Green Lantern in DC Universe. Currently, the movie is set for a 2025 release and will begin the new DC Universe which, as of now, unfortunately does not include Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
