Not just Dune fans, but DC fans have also trolled Momoa in the past for his bold statements. In a past interview with GamesRadar, Momoa claimed that “there’s no one bigger than Aquaman.” Fans instantly reminded the actor that his character co-exists with popular superheroes like Superman and Batman so his statement is far-fetched.

In a way, Momoa may be right since 2018’s Aquaman is still the highest-grossing film based on a DC Comics character but that may change with James Gunn’s new DCU. Gunn is currently working on a soft reboot of the franchise which will introduce fresh actors portraying new iterations of fan-favorite characters. As of now, it is unclear whether Momoa will continue his time in the franchise but he is sure that DC will make space for him.

James Gunn and Peter Safran consider Superman (2025), to be the true beginning of the DCU.
