Having five movies to his name, Disney fired Depp from the sixth installment of the franchise when his ex-wife Amber Heard levied accusations of physical abuse on Depp.
The notorious trial that followed is remembered as the Depp defamation trial which the Edward Scissorhands actor won in the end. When asked about his potential return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Depp simply stated that no amount of money could drag him back to that franchise.
As per a recent tweet on X, it seems that Johnny Depp will return as Capt. Jack Sparrow but he won’t exactly be in a movie. With Fortnite having skins and different accessories, it is alleged that the character of Capt. Jack Sparrow will be seen in Fortnite!

Johnny Depp Would Never Return To 21 Jump Street!
Back in 1987, the actor portrayed the role of Tom Hanson in the television series called 21 Jump Street. Based on the story of young cops who go undercover in a high school and solve crimes, the series received much love and fame. In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, Depp revealed that he would never do something like this again and his reason, was on point.
“Never. I’d rather pump gas. I would never do it again, ever. There’s not enough money in Los Angeles.” said Depp. “I don’t want to bite the hand that feeds me or anything like that,”
He further continued,
“But I would much rather do movies with John Waters than be undercover in a high school carrying a gun. Cops undercover in high school, in my opinion, is borderline fascist. (But) I don’t sign the checks. I’m a puppet.”
