After Jonathan Majors was accused of domestic violence by his ex-girlfriend, it was as though his career at Marvel was on a steady decline even though nothing had been announced by that point. Fans knew that he would not be sticking around for long before, the franchise even announced him being fired as Kang.
Not only because of the charges against him but because of how others in the same position have been treated in the past. Although it is difficult to tell what the truth is in these cases, seeing that public opinion can mix up information, making it difficult to understand what is real and what isn’t. Fans cannot help but look back at similar situations; like that of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
This has become even more true with the most recent update on his court ruling, not because of the specifics of the situation of both the actors, but because of how the public is reacting to them.
New Update In Jonathan Majors’ Domestic Violence Case
There was quite a significant update in Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence case in his recent court ruling. In December of 2023, the actor was convicted of misdemeanor assault, which meant that he could be facing up to a year in prison. As reported by The Hollywood Handle, the actor’s fate was decided and many fans are quite happy for him.
It was revealed that Majors completely evaded jail time. As a result, he would instead be taking court-ordered counseling for 52 weeks. There was a chance of him facing some serious repercussions, but it would seem that he dodged a bullet.
The entire course of his trial, fans had been on the edge of their seats wanting to know whether or not he was innocent, following in the footsteps of Johnny Depp; or actually guilty.
The Court Of Public Opinion Believes Jonathan Majors Innocent
Since the news was announced, many fans have not been able to contain their feelings and it seems that it is all manifesting into anger – towards Marvel Studios. Even since the franchise fired Jonathan Majors as Kang, his fans have been very upset, thinking it to be similar to what happened with Johnny Depp and Disney during the Pirates of the Caribbean reboot.
Despite him being found guilty of his charges, fans are stating that Marvel was wrong for their decision and demand he be brought back. They even mentioned how they knew that Majors would not go it jail, with it being his first offense. Many are simply infuriated at the fact that his name is being dragged through the mud.
He was never getting jail time as it was his 1st offense so I saw that coming. A whole year of counseling for the first offense when we have video evidence of him running away and literally being chased is crazy to me.

This is good! 😀👍
He was never going to get jail time.
Even though Marvel Studios/Disney aren't going to rehire him as Kang (even though they should) I hope that he starts getting more work in Hollywood again.
He is a very talented actor.— Grant Adams (@GrantAd71024138) April 8, 2024
Marvel will hire him back now

Some added that if Marvel does not bring him back, they hope he finds work elsewhere now that his life can keep moving forward.
