Jeremy Renner’s near-fatal snowplow accident that took place on January 1st, 2023 had everyone shaken and praying for their favorite superhero’s health. The incident took according to People place in the area of Mt. Rose Highway in Reno, Nevada and the actor was taken to the hospital in a critical but stable condition.

After extensive surgery and receiving excellent care, Renner’s journey to recover had started. During the recovery period, Renner shared a few lighthearted moments from the ICU and expressed his gratitude towards fans, medical staff, and everyone who wished him the best for his recovery. A year later in January 2024 Renner celebrated his one year of recovery from the horrifying accident and shared with fans that he’s been doing good.

Recently, Jeremy Renner appeared in a Super Bowl commercial for Silk alongside his daughter Ava. In the commercial, Renner can be seen slicing strawberries in mid-air, performing a roundhouse kick, and landing on the kitchen counter. His daughter is heard saying, “Woah, Dad”, to which the actor says,

“Just getting back in my routine.”

According to reports by CNN, the actor had performed his own stunts for the commercial. He shared with the publication during rehearsals;

“I don’t know if I can do any physical things at this point. They have a stunt guy there ready to do some of this stuff. I already told’em, there’s no way I’m doing all this stuff on the counters and jumping up.”

However, on the day of filming, Renner ended up performing all of it on his own. He shared that working on the campaign was like a big boost of confidence for him especially after being away from it for a year. Jeremy Renner added that at the end of the day it’s what the commercial is representing; to feel good and he does feel good and thus he is singing ‘I Feel Good’ in the commercial.

Jeremy Renner teases his Marvel Universe return

During an interview with ET, the Marvel actor was asked about his recovery to which he said,

“I’m doing probably 90% of all the things I needed to be doing…I think another six months will hopefully running more as I got to set goals for myself. I’ll do whatever I can…whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger.”

Renner shared that the rest of his life is going to be about health and wellness adding that recovery will be a part of the rest of his life and he looks forward to it. The actor noted that there is always something to get better, stronger, happier, and healthier which is exactly what he’s going to do.

Upon asking about his return as Hawkeye, the actor said,

“I’m always game. I’m gonna be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready. All those guys come to my bedside and they’ve been with me all along through this recovery so, if they want me, they could have me. It would be something.”

During an interview with THR, Renner was asked about his return and he said that if he gets a phone call and they want to do it, whether it’s a season 2 of Hawkeye or something else, his answer will be a yes. Currently, he is focused on recovery and Mayor of Kingstown S3.

Mayor of Kingstown is streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Hawkeye series is streaming on Disney+.
