Artist BossLogic is famous all over social media for extraordinary fan art. Some of his most stunning works are the ones that act as fan casts of pop culture characters from One Punch Man to Doctor Doom.

In 2019, BossLogic posted a piece of fan art of Robin Hood actor Taron Egerton as a potential pick to play the next cinematic version of Wolverine. In the art, he was seen donning the classic blue and yellow jumpsuit worn by Wolverine in comics and cartoons with a balanced way of fierce glare, and a gnarly set of sideburns.

There’s no doubt, Hugh Jackman became iconic in the role of Wolverine and it’s not easy to envision anyone else playing the character. However, Egerton has already proven his boldness in playing icons with his portrayal of Elton John in the hit film Rocketman. No matter what, it would be interesting to see Egerton handling the role of Wolverine.

Taron Egerton Commented on Such Fan Art Envisioning Him As Wolverine

Though he said that he was delighted to know that fans want him to play the iconic role, he thinks he would be a better fit for some other instead. He said:

I love Marvel and I love the movies and I’d love the excuse to get in shape. I’d love to be a part of it, whether [Wolverine] is realistic or not, I don’t know.

I’d be excited but I’d be apprehensive as well, because Hugh is so associated with the role that I’d wonder if it’d be very difficult for someone else to do it.” (Via Vanity Fair

He added: “Hopefully if it does come around, they’ll give me a shot.”

Expressing his willingness to play the role, Egerton however stated that he needs to call up Jackman before going to play the role. Egerton and Jackman both starred in the film Eddie the Eagle in 2016.
