Deadpool 3, the first R-rated MCU film, which is the only movie set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be released in theaters in 2024, has dropped its first trailer and fans can’t keep calm. The highly anticipated movie will see Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, and the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
We also now have the title of the third installment of the Deadpool series- Deadpool & Wolverine. The trailer sees members of the Time Variance Authority, the multiversal organization first introduced in the Disney+ series Loki, track down and find Reynolds’ Wade Wilson. And Marvel fans think Tom Hiddlestone’s Loki will make an appearance in Deadpool 3.

The First Trailer for Deadpool 3 Has Just Been Released
Much to the delight of Marvel fans, Deadpool 3 got its first trailer released on Super Bowl Sunday. While multiple set photos and updates were swirling on the internet, fans have been waiting to see some clip of it, and it has come true now.
Shawn Levy’s directorial Deadpool & Wolverine first trailer shows a deeper look at Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson’s foray into the MCU with his best friend, Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman whom fans saw die in 2017’s sendoff movie Logan.
We have already seen some cameos, including the original trilogy’s Aaron Stanford, returning as Pyro. Alongside this, the movie includes appearances from Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, and reportedly Patrick Stewart, and more. Few Deadpool characters, like Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Morena Baccarin’s Vanessa Carlysle, will, of course return to the third installment of the Deadpool series.
Deadpool 3 Trailer Has Some Big Connections to Loki TV Series and Fans Are Convinced
The trailer throws us into a multiverse mess. The Time Variance Authority, those TVA guys from Loki, are after Deadpool, calling him “special” and offering him a chance to be a “hero among heroes.” The trailer doesn’t give us a whole lot of Wolverine action, but we do catch glimpses of his adamantium claws and a shadowy figure with his iconic yellow suit. Still, that’s enough to get fans hyped!
Considering TVA involvement, Loki characters like Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie, Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter-B15, or Tara Strong’s Miss Minutes could make an appearance in Deadpool 3. And that makes fans believe that Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will also come, though we’re not quite sure how just yet.

I have a feeling Deadpool will run into Loki, doctor strange, Monica, and possibly a kang variant. Because remember Monica got stuck in the X-men universe at the end of the marvels. Strange went off to fix his mess at the end of MoM. And Loki is hold the timelines together.

Marvel’s president, Kevin Feige, earlier said that among all the films in production for Marvel’s Phase 5 and Phase 6, only Deadpool 3 was going to have an R-rating. Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
