Chris Pratt’s career went to a new level in 2014 when he starred in two wildly successful movies, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Lego Movie. Before that, most fans associated Pratt with his time on the beloved sitcom Parks and Recreation. However, once Pratt proved that moviegoers were willing to watch him on the big screen, the major movie studios suddenly lined up to offer him roles.

Sony offered him the chance to star in the much-anticipated video game adaptation, Uncharted. According to reports, Chris Pratt was asked to portray Nathan in the planned Uncharted adaptation but turned down the role. Director Seth Gordon was set to helm the Uncharted adaptation then, and he spoke about the kind of actor he wanted to hire for the film.

“I want it to be a great actor. That’s number one, and then if it’s someone who has an actual jaw, that’s even better. The game is so well done that you need it to live up to that. There’s no way we’d do the inverse of that where it’s somebody famous who can’t [act].”
