Law enforcement sources claim that the current investigation has been ongoing for several months, involving both local police and the DEA. The report also suggests that some key individuals in Hollywood (whose identities are kept undisclosed) have been approached as part of this investigation.

With the specific sources of the drug remaining anonymous, authorities have reportedly contacted individuals with a history of its use for information. Perry was found in a hot tub at his Pacific Palisades home in Los Angeles on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54. His assistant found him unresponsive, after which first responders came to assistance.

According to an autopsy report released by the Los Angeles County medical examiner, the actor died from the acute effects of ketamine. As per Radar Online“drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine (used to treat opioid use disorder)” also contributed to his death but were not the primary cause.

Whereas, TMZ reported that the FRIENDS actor had been undergoing Ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety over a week before his demise. However, the examiner noted that the drug found in his system was different from the prescribed one he was taking for his therapy.

This ultimately suggests that the actor took the drug outside of a medical setting, the details that the investigators are still trying to determine.

However, undergoing Ketamine therapy was not news to everyone, as the actor had been candid about his struggles, particularly in his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. With fans already aware of his drug and alcohol addictions that severely impacted his health, he had received several treatments for his well-being.
