The Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, finally reveals the release date and price, all within spectacular and epic gameplay. In the video, you can see incredible new weapons, spells, and even a new area. But the most important thing is the bosses that this DLC will introduce.
One of the notable bosses shown in the trailer was Messmer, the Impaler. The director of the game, Hidetaka Miyazaki, has talked about this new and very imposing new character. This could be the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree, according to some rumors.

The new trailer for the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brought an enormous amount of excitement to the fans of Elden Ring. Between all the new things that this content will introduce, the most essential are the amazing new bosses that you can see in the trailer.
One of the most impressive bosses shown in the trailer was Messmer, the Impaler, a red-haired figure with long arms. That was the start of the video; he even had a little dialogue.
A lot of speculation is surrounding Messmer, The Impaler. Some players are saying that this character has a lot to do with Miquella and Malenia. Messmer came out of the egg in Mohg’s lair, so he can be a new version of Miquella, who wants revenge for the tarnished who have defeated Malenia. This character will be one of the main protagonists of the Lands of Shadow, the new region that the players will explore. The egg will be a key element in the new Shadow of the Erdtree.
Miquella Will be Key for this Content
Messmer and Miquella will probably be the same person, or Messmer will be a transformation of Miquella, or the other way around. The most recognizable feature of Messmer are the long arms that resemble the one that is hanging out from the egg in Mohg’s lair. Mohg could be the creator of this new boss. The red hair is a very striking thing that has a lot to do with all these characters, like Malenia and Miquella.
This new boss could also be looking to sit in the Elden Throne to be a new tyrant. This new Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, will be available June 21 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. The content will cost $39.99 and will require the Elden Ring base game to play the DLC. There is also a Collector’s Edition with limited copies and a statue of Messmer.
