Mindy Kaling-Led Velma Gets Renewed for Season 2

At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Suzanna Makkos, the executive vice president of original comedy and adult animation for Max and Adult Swim, recently announced that Velma has been renewed for season 2. Mindy Kaling, who also serves as the show’s executive producer, voiced the titular character in season one.

Season one of Velma aired earlier this year in January and received mixed reviews, with some fans arguing “HBO Max should cancel this show.” Now that the show has been renewed for a second season, fans are trashing it on Twitter. Read some of the tweets here.
