He is the last-born child of Gwyn, the lord of sunlight, and protects the honorary tomb of his father in the first game. His moments and appearance in-game have led many to interpret how his body is clearly getting used by none other than Aldrich, who desired to eat Gwyndolin for his abilities and powers. There is fortunately a chance that, if this is true, he might be in a coma and still be conscious and not be fully present while Aldrich uses his body for wicked purposes.
He has also remained an important figure throughout the whole franchise of Dark Souls. The servers for the first-ever game in the series have already been shut down a few years ago, and players now have the last chance ever to enjoy the online playing experience for the second game.
FromSoftware To Shut Down Dark Souls 2 Online Servers Soon
You heard that right, the online servers for Dark Souls 2 will soon be shut for players who play the game on their PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The servers will be taken down on 31st March 2024 at 5:00 PDT | 14:00 CEST | 21:00 JST respectively.
Luckily, those who experience the game through its Scholar of the First Sin Edition will be still able to play the game on their respective PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms. Scholar of the First Sin called to be a remaster of the original game was released more than a year later than the launch of the original Dark Souls 2 game in 2014.
It is a matter of time when fans would have to bid farewell to the online servers of the third game in the series too, as all good things must come to an end. However, fans now await the start of another franchise as they wish Hidetaka Miyazaki to soon release Elden Ring 2, a title that has not even been announced yet.
