In one of its latest installations, Ms. Marvel follows the journey of Kamala Khan as she learns about her heritage and powers. The fan of Cosmic Avenger Captain Marvel discovers her powers while utilizing her family’s heirloom.

Ms. Marvel drops hints of the X-Men crossover, or does it?

Marvel has been notorious for leading fans on and not fulfilling its promise. In the case of WandaVision, fans were teased with the inclusion of Quick Silver from the X-Men universe. But in the end, it was revealed to be a fake-out. it was just a random person who was hypnotized.

Fans were disappointed as with the ever-expanding universe, they’re dying to see both the universe mesh. The rage was high enough for the WandaVision director Matt Shakman to receive furious texts from fans, he stated:

“Some stranger texted me about [fake Pietro] earlier today as well. How do people get your cell phone number? I don’t know. But they actually launched into a tirade… just out of the blue.”

Marvel at it again?

In the original Ms. Marvel comics, Kamala Khan is actually an Inhuman as she gained her powers from the Terrigen Mist, becoming a polymorph who can extend her limbs and shapeshift. Despite her powers coming from the bangles, it is later confirmed to be some other reason.

The season finale revealed a massive easter egg by calling her powers a result of a mutation. While others are celebrating the revelation as the first mutant to ever become part of the MCU, many are calling it a cheap move and fakeout.
