This take gained traction on social media, with supporters of the idea celebrating Sweeney as a rebel against cancel culture and political correctness. While many liberals argued that the actress’ dress has nothing to do with wokeness, many right-leaning users have proclaimed Sweeney the face of anti-woke.

Recently, @aurorafaced took to X where she called Sweeney the new darling of the anti-woke crowd. The user posted a scathing review of her new film, Immaculate. Per the user, the movie was not worth watching and it allegedly resorts to degrading Christianity through its themes which appear of Satanism, abortion rights, and anti-life views.

“Libs saw how the anti-woke crowd embraced Sydney Sweeney as their new darling and right away had to shove her in this blasphemous, Satanic, feminist, pro-abortion, anti-life movie degrading Christians. This movie also debases Mary, mother of the Christ. Don’t bother watching.”

Instead of ignoring the critical tweet, the marketing team for Immaculate decided to take a cheeky shot back. They posted a photo from the set showing actress covered in blood and giving a thumbs-up. It was their way of playfully saying “Bring it on” to any haters.
