Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine’s upcoming film, The Idea of You, has been making its rounds around the Internet and getting quite a lot attention from all corners. The film’s premise is quite rare.
It shows the story of a woman who falls in love with the lead singer of her daughter’s favourite band, who is much younger than her. Following the trials that the media puts people through, the romance film is meant to be a beautiful adaptation of a book of the same name.
One of the most imperative parts of any romance film is for there to be chemistry between the two protagonists. Chemistry is something that no one knows how to explain, however, when it is there, it is evident. The absence of it is also felt by audiences.
Thankfully, for this movie, Hathaway and Galitzine share an excellent dynamic, being close to each other in character, as well as out of it. During a recent interview, when asked about their feelings towards each other, the two only reinforced this belief.
Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine Could Not Stand Each Other?
Recently, Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine gave an interview with Paul’sMovieTrip on Instagram for the promotion of their upcoming film, The Idea of You. Here, they were asked if their off-screen chemistry was just as good as their on-screen chemistry.
They were also asked to name the one thing they loved about their co-star. Hathaway chose to go for a much more light-hearted approach, answering with a joke.
“Once I got used to his smell. Once we finally could be in the same room.” Hathaway joked, “The banter. The banter was very very fun.”
The actress joked that they two initially could not stand each other and had to learn to tolerate the other. She then gave her answer, revealing that she loved the kind of banter they shared with each other, being able to laugh with each other and have an unserious back and forth. She then went into further detail about her co-star.
Anne Hathaway Has Nothing But Good To Say About Nicholas Galitzine
Anne Hathaway then talked about her actual experience working with Nicholas Galitzine on the set of The Idea of You. She revealed that their chemistry with each other was almost instant. The Red, White, and Royal Blue actor famously talked about how his and Hathaway’s chemistry read was almost life-changing for him. It would seem that the experience was not one sided.
“I don’t know, we just hit it off. We both hit it off. We’re both playful people, and Nick is just such a great person to have. He’s a steady Eddie, but totally compassionate at the same time.” She went on, “And he’s quick to laugh. Intelligent and talented. I mean it was really a pleasure making this film together”
Hathaway also added that she loves how focused Galitzine is. He is able to be immersed in his work without losing his compassion and this trait is admired by the actress.
She also added that he laughs at her jokes, which gives him a huge up in her books, adding that on top of everything, he is an extremely intelligent and talented person. It is safe to say that Hathaway enjoyed her time working with Galitzine on the film.
