The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt have been busy promoting their upcoming film, which is set to hit the theatres soon. And fans are enjoying Gosling’s reaction upon discovering the interviewer’s preference for Blunt’s Oppenheimer over his film Barbie.
In a conversation with The Fall Guy stars, Kevin McCarthy shared how much he loved the 2023 film, Oppenheimer, which featured Blunt as Kitty Oppenheimer. “Emily I saw Oppenheimer 10 times in theatres,” he told the actress.
Blunt graciously acknowledged the praise, saying, “I love that,” while Gosling seemed to be eagerly awaiting to learn McCarthy’s viewing count for Barbie, which was released concurrently with the biographical thriller.
When McCarthy disclosed that he had seen Barbie only “three times” Gosling couldn’t resist remarking, “You see—there’s such a hierarchy with you.” Blunt, however, did not miss the opportunity to playfully tease her co-star.

While Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt may continue to engage in playful banter about their respective movies, their children have developed a fondness for their on-screen characters. In a recent interview with TODAY, The Notebook star shared that his daughters refer to Blunt as Mary Poppins, her character from the 2018 film Mary Poppins Returns.
“My kids call her Mary Poppins,” he shared as he recalled a conversation with them, “You’re working with Mary Poppins today?’ Yes, I am.” The 43-year-old actor has two daughters Esmeralda and Amada, whom he shares with his wife Eva Mendes.
Similarly, the Oppenheimer star’s children Hazel and Violet are also very fond of her co-star. “They love him so deeply,” she shared. Blunt also revealed that Gosling’s Barbie was the first film in which her elder daughter Hazel expressed any interest.
“It has nothing to do with me. It’s all about Ryan,” she said. Gosling chimed in with a surprising response, saying, “Oh, my God— I think it’s Ken, really.” The Oscar-nominated actress also shared that her daughters were quite fascinated with Ken and thrilled to learn about her collaboration with Gosling.
